A SECOND man was arrested over the theft of a gold toilet from Blenheim Palace.
The 18-carat solid gold toilet was stolen in an early morning burglary at the historic stately home on Saturday, and police believe a group were working together with a couple of vehicles to pull off the heist.
At the time a 66-year-old was arrested by West Mercia Police, which was given more time to question the man.
He was released on bail and Thames Valley Police, which is running the investigation, has now announced a second arrest.
This time a 36-year-old from Cheltenham was arrested.
Police say he has now been released under investigation.
The force are yet to track down the missing loo, but say it is a top 'priority'.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Steven Jones, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and have made a second arrest in connection with it.
“Our priority is to locate the stolen item, and I would urge anyone with any information to contact police by calling 101.
“Anyone with information should quote reference number URN 273 (14/9).”
Meanwhile Blenheim Art Foundation has released images of the 'significant damage' left after the thieves ripped it from the floor.
Photos show the mess left over, after the plumbed in toilet was ripped out of the ground, with the left-over toilet roll hanging from the wall.
