In a Facebook post on Friday, officers said: "This has been adopted by the [police] forum as a neighbourhood priority.
"Members of the forum have been out in force recently to identify and evidence poor parking.
"Somewhat shockingly, on the morning of September 12, there were 12 cars either parked on double yellow lines, time-restricted clearways or zebra crossings during school drop-off times and near primary schools."

Officers urged parents to be considerate, adding: "Officers from the neighbourhood team will be conducing extras patrols and will enforcing all parking violations that they come across."
