A CANCER charity's countywide fundraising manager has thanked people in Oxfordshire for their donations over the past year.

Farrell Hackett, from Macmillan Cancer Support, said in the region they were able to fund 11 professionals to support people with the disease at the start of the year and in 2018 £114,200 was given in financial support grants.

She added: "None of this would have been possible without those who have donated, so I believe it is only right that I acknowledge the impact they have had in our area.

"On behalf of everyone who’s experienced support from Macmillan, we are very grateful."
