As reported on Sunday, the retailer's largest Oxford branch is due to close on Saturday, September 21.

A spokesperson has now commented and said staff have been offered the chance to be reassigned elsewhere.
The statement said: "Our Botley Road store will be closing at the end of September and customers can continue to shop with us at our Oxford city centre and Abingdon stores.
"All colleagues have been offered the opportunity to redeploy.”
In an Oxford Mail poll at the weekend, which gathered 1,356 votes, the majority of readers - 73 per cent - said they were disappointed to see the shop close.
Four per cent said they never went there anyway, while 23 per cent said they did not care either way if the shop closed.

We asked Argos if it had any plans to shut the remaining Oxford branch in New Inn Hall Street, and how many staff members work at the Botley Road store.
The retailer's response did not directly address these questions.
In 2016, Sainsbury's took over Argos and said it could close 400 branches, moving them into Sainsbury's instead.
This year Argos closures have been announced in many towns and cities including Swindon, Ipswich, Liverpool and Falmouth.
