CRACKLING bonfires and dazzling firework displays will help Guy Fawkes Night go with a bang in Oxfordshire.
In Oxford, South Park hosts the annual Round Table charity fireworks display tonight. Gates open at 5pm, with the fireworks display at 6.30pm, followed by a bonfire.
Advance tickets are £12 for families and £5 for individuals from The Big Bang, in Walton Street; Shepherd & Woodward in High Street and Summertown; Walters in Turl Street; Ecco in New Inn Hall Street; Johnson's Buildbase in Cowley; and Up and Running in London Road, Headington. On the gate, family tickets are £15 and individual tickets £6.
Abingdon Firework Display will be among the biggest in the county, with £6,000 of fireworks lighting up the night sky, along with a funfair, refreshments and music from Fox FM. There will be a free minibus to ferry pedestrians between the main gate and the display area. The event at Dalton Barracks also offers free parking.
Organiser Julian Annells said: "We have got some new exciting fireworks this time. There are some really nice ones, some really bright colours. It should be bigger and better than ever."
Gates will open at 5pm on November 3, with the fireworks starting at 7pm.
Tickets are £3 for pedestrians, or £10 for a car with a maximum of five passengers. Advance tickets - including a £2 discount per car - are available from B&Q in Abingdon, Goffs Newsagents, Busy Bee Newsagents, the Gift Centre and the Information Point in Old Abbey House.
In Bicester, the annual Round Table display is at Pingle Field, on November 3. Gates open at 6.30pm, with fireworks at 7.30pm. Tickets are £4 on the night or £3 in advance from shops in the town. Under-fives are admitted free.
Steeple Aston's annual firework display and bonfire will take place on Monday, November 5, at the village hall and recreation ground in Fir Lane.
Gates open 6.15pm and the display will start at 7pm.
Admission is £14 per family (£12 in advance), single £5 (£4 in advance), and the ticket price will include food and soft drink.

Any profit will go to village charities.
Witney Rugby Club, in Hailey Road, hosts a free show on Sunday, November 4, from 5pm. Details on 01993 771043.
Charlbury Cricket Club's display and barbecue is on Saturday, November 3. Gates open at 6pm, with the display at 7pm. Tickets cost £4 for adults and £1 for children.
Schools in Woodstock will benefit from the proceeds of a display at The Marlborough School on Monday, November 5. The event starts at 6.30pm and offers children's rides, hot food and mulled wine. Family tickets are £12 on the gate or £10 in advance - call 01993 811431.
Faringdon House hosts a bonfire and fireworks display from 7pm on Saturday, November 3. Lord Williams's School, in Thame, holds a show the same evening. Gates open at 5.30pm, with fireworks at 6.30pm. Tickets are £5 for adults and £2 for children. Under-fours are admitted free.
There are two shows on Saturday, November 10. The first is at Wytham recreation ground, where gates open at 5.30pm, with the display at 6.30pm. Tickets are £5, with under-14s admitted free.
The other is at Eynsham Primary School, in Beech Road. Gates open at 6pm with fireworks from 7pm. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children, with under-fives free. Family tickets are £12 in advance from village shops and the school, or £14 on the night.
