FLAMING straw bales sparked an emergency response from firefighters this morning.
Crews were scrambled from Bicester and Banbury Fire Stations after a number of straw bales went up in flames about 10.30am.
A baler was also on fire nearby in the field close to Fritwell, near Bicester.
Firefighters used a 4x4, beaters, and hosereels to tackle the flames which Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said was accidental.
It comes as the county basks in almost 30C following a hot bank holiday weekend.
