WALLINGFORD School headteacher Wyll Willis is retiring following a ‘record year’ of A-Level results.
It was the school’s largest ever cohort of students sitting the exams – 121 - and they achieved the school’s best ever A-Level and Btec results.
Out of 121 students, 28 per cent got A*-A grades, 64 per cent got A*-B grades and 100 per cent got A*-E grades.
Mr Willis is retiring at the end of the month after 13 years as headteacher and has worked in education for 31 years.
He said: “The school was in a mess when I came here and I like to think I’m handing it over when it’s in a good place. It’s a team effort and the staff deserve the credit.”
