OXFORD MAGISTRATES’
SAUL CHAND, 20, of Frederick Road, in Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on January 25. Handed a conditional discharge for nine months and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £20 victim surcharge.
DANIEL CULLUM-SHARP, 31, of Church Side in East Illsley, admitted assault by beating in Harwell, near Didcot, on June 28 and March 2. Also admitted criminal damage to a kitchen work surface, a hob, hallway and bedroom at a property in Harwell. Admitted assaulting a police officer on June 28 by beating him. Handed a community order including alcohol treatment requirements, rehabilitation requirements, and ordered to undertake 80 hours unpaid work. Fined £950.28 compensation, and ordered to pay £85 court costs.
BENJAMIN EVANS, 23, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing a Cancer Trust charity box from Dominoes in Bicester on July 3, a charity box from W H Smith in Bicester on July 7, and a Cancer Trust charity box from Tesco Express in Bicester on June 25. Also admitted stealing three bottles of brandy worth £87 and bin liners from Sainsbury’s on July 23. Admitted failing to surrender to custody at Oxford magistrates’ Court on July 8. Jailed for 20 weeks and ordered to pay £147 compensation.
KIERON HEDGES, 31, of Saxton Road in Abingdon, admitted three counts of assault by beating in Abingdon on July 5, one count of using threatening or abusive behaviour to cause alarm or distress on the same day, and criminal damage by destroying a window pane and drinking glasses at the Midget Pub in Abingdon. Fined £545 and ordered to pay £50 compensation. Must also pay £85 court costs and £32 victim surcharge. Exclusion order made banning him from entering The Midget Pub in Abingdon for 12 months.
JAMES SMITH, 31, of Paradise Square in Oxford, admitted harassment as a breach of a restraining order in Oxford on April 21, and June 8. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and the restraining order extended for two years. Ordered to pay £85 court costs and £20 victim surcharge.
DENNIS KELLY, 54, of Churchill Place in Oxford, convicted of driving without due car and attention on Iffley Road on January 29. Fined £660, and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £66 victim surcharge. Driving licence endorsed with nine points.
DAVID HETHERINGTON, 43, of Savile Way in Grove, near Wantage, admitted harassment without violence between May 1, 2018, and September 9, 2018 and two occasions on June 1, against two people by shouting at them, putting notes through their door, playing loud music and banging on their door in Grove. Sentenced to 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months, and order to undertake alcohol treatment requirements and rehabilitation requirements. Must carry out 100 hours unpaid work, and pay £85 court costs. Subject to a restraining order.
JACQUELINE LUCY, 53, of Horton Avenue, in Thame, admitted drink driving on Horton Avenue in Thame on April 20. Found to have 108mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £120 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.
ISTVAN SVIDRO, 41, of Sir Henry Jake Close, in Banbury, admitted actual bodily harm in Oxford on June 30, and damaging a hotel room worth £750 at Hampton by Hilton on the same day. Sentenced to 20 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months, and must comply with rehabilitation requirements. Ordered to pay £1,750 compensation, £115 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
ANTHONY FRANCIS KALYAN, 46, of Gwyneth Road, Littlemore, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit as well as driving without a licence and without third party insurance and obstructing a police officer on June 16 and 17 at Regent Street, Oxford. Had 89 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath. He was made subject to a community order to include 15 days rehabilitation activity requirement and unpaid work of 120 hours. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for three years.
ROGER FREDERICK STEPHEN DENNETT, 76, of Oxford Road, Abingdon, was convicted of speeding by driving 35 mph in a 30 mph area at the A4 Bath Road, Thatcham, on November 25. He was fined £200 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.
SOFOKLIS SOFOKLEOUS, 53, of Cherwell Court, Banbury, was convicted of using a mobile phone while driving at Oxford Road, Kidlington, on November 8. He was fined £120 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
STEVEN MARK WAY, 51, of Burford Road, Witney, was convicted of speeding by driving 55 mph in a 30 mph area at the B4022, Hailey on February 26. He was fined £450 and must pay a victim surcharge of £45 and court costs of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
Tanya CHRISTINE THOMSON, 38, of Ruskin Walk, Bicester, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order by being in a group of four at Street Record, Sheep Street, Bicester, on July 26. She was fined £40 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32.
SUSAN ELEANOR COOK, 55, of Hazeldene Close, Eynsham, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on July 12 in Eynsham. Had 136 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath. She was fined £1,229 and must pay a victim surcharge of £122 and court costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for 36 months.
ADAM NATHAN HUDSON, 43, of Nicholson Road, Oxford, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on July 14 at Oxford Road, Thame. Had 78 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath. He was fined £300 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and was disqualified from driving for 17 months.
Tomas Patrik MCLAUGHLIN, 27, of Bretch Hill, Banbury, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place at Bridge Street, Banbury, on April 19. He was given a conditional discharge for six months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.
JANET MILLIKIN, 62, of Ock Street, Abingdon, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order by picking up a chair and throwing it across the front door for Greggs Bakery, Abingdon, on July 26. She was fined £100 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85.
LEONARDO RIBEIRO, 21, of Milton Road, Oxford, admitted being in charge of a vehicle above the legal alcohol limit and using a vehicle without insurance on July 14 in Oxford. Had 42 mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath. Fined £552, £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs and 12-month disqualification.
