HOUSE sellers across Oxfordshire are not getting the money they want for their properties.
New figures show a big difference between the amount houses are being listed at and their eventual sale price.
In some areas – such as the north of Bicester – buyers are snapping up homes for about £25,000 less than their advertised cost, on average.

In the OX44 postcode, which covers many of the villages to the south of Oxford, sellers are being bartered down by almost £23,500.
And in leafy OX2 areas such as Summertown and Cumnor, selling prices are more than £19,000 lower than the list price.
The data has been compiled by housing website Property Solvers, which uses listing price figures from Right Move and house sale information from the Land Registry.
The site looked tracked house sales in each area over the last year.
How long as houses taking to sell?
As well as properties going for less than the asking price, sellers in some areas are having to wait longer than others to shift them.
Properties in Watlington Ox49 are taking more about five months – 21 weeks – to find a new owner.
And in the Thame area and to the west of Abingdon, homes are taking 20 weeks to shift.
In Oxford itself, sellers in OX4, which covers Cowley and Littlemore, are waiting 19 weeks before their sales are completed.
They are also getting about £9,000 less than they wanted from the sale.
