A PETITION to get more parking in the form of a multi-storey car park at the John Radcliffe Hospital has racked up thousands of signatures.
Altogether 4,517 people have called for more parking to be built.
Mick Haines, an independent councillor for Marston, started the bid in April – taking it around to each house in the area by hand – and within 24 hours had accumulated 100 signatures.
The petition was then put online in June and has since reached 3,295 supporters. The paper version has also reached 1,221 calls.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) confirmed that it was aiming to file a planning application for a multi-storey car park at the Headington hospital before the end of the year.
