A PUB could be told to pull down an outdoor pizza oven that a neighbour says sends a ‘nasty toxic smell’ into their home and garden.
The Queens Head, in Queen Street, Eynsham, built a pizza shack and oven for pubgoers and a takeaway service.
Hundreds of people have said they want it to stay – but the pub did not initially apply for planning permission.
An unhappy Queen Street resident said they are subjected to ‘smoke nuisance all day, every day, including weekends’.
They said they are unable to have their windows open, hang out their washing or enjoy their garden.

Another said bad parking problems had been made worse by the takeaway service, causing a blockage ‘on more than one occasion’.
But the pub said the pizza oven is now a critical part of its business.
A petition urging the council to allow the pub to keep the oven has been signed by 206 people. Another six wrote to West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC) to say the ‘revitalised pub with excellent facilities’ should be able to keep it.
WODC planning officers say the oven, which has a tin roof, tin cladding and a perspex canopy, does not fit in well with the Eynsham Conservation Area and should not be allowed.
The council’s Lowlands Area planning committee will decide next Monday.
