THE expression may be seeing double but we were seeing triple this week as Camera Club embraced our trio theme.
From rock bands and classic cars to curious meerkats and mating damselflies the ubiquitousness of the number was on full display.
IN PICTURES: Lightning lights up Oxfordshire's skiesNature was the focus for many members with a synchronised group of white alpaca's all feasting on a field of grass at the same time by Susan Gibbs one of our favourites.
Another wildlife snap we loved was Allen Dannfald's image of birds flocking to a bird feeder.
We especially liked how one is caught with wings outstretched as it approaches the feeder, while another darts away with its prize of seeds in its beak.
Another bird shot we enjoyed was the silhouetted forms of three caught flying through an orange sky by Sue Carruthers.
The bright single-colour backdrop helps the feathered creatures stand out.
A final bird-related favourite was Black Headed Gulls taken at Slimbridge in Gloucestershire by Roy Telling.
Snaps of man-made groups of three that stood out, meanwhile, included Steven Braggs shot of portholes on at 1950s Buick car spotted at Notcutts Classic Car Show.
PICTURES: See our favourite purple-themed imagesA set of swirling neon light trails by Lesley Adam was another favourite, as was brightly coloured window shutters by Sharon Allen.
Another picture we loved as a black-and-white shot of water drops falling into a tea cup.
Taken by by Peter Silver the image is a great motion shot, with each of the three droplets perfectly lined up.
There were bonus trios in Lesley Adams other submitted shot, which captures three rows of three holes at the Auditorio de Tenerife, in Santa Cruz, Tenerife.
Finally we loved Ritchie J Florey's more unusual take on the theme.
Rather than looking for groups of three he instead focused on capturing the definition of trio in a dictionary.
We especially liked how the other entries are out of focus to give full attention to the word.
Next week's theme is lines.

Our winning picture for this week's theme will appear in tomorrow's paper.
Happy snapping!
