AN OXFORD pub which closed without warning is racking up 'a lot of interest' now that it's on the market.

The Black Boy in Headington closed its doors for the last time more than a month ago, and has since been sitting empty and unused.

But the pub's owner – Leicestershire Brewery Everards – was keen to get it open again and listed the inn on its website for letting.

The team explained that since the Headington pub has been listed, it's been a hit with potential renters.

Aarti Tailor at Everards said: “The Black Boy has recently come back to us and has generated a lot of interest from people wanting to run it. All our pubs are run as independent businesses and are as individual as the people who run them, so we take the time to match the right people to the right pub. We already have some very strong applicants for The Black Boy who have exciting ideas for the business, so we hope for it to be open again very soon.”
