Bins will be collected earlier in the mornings this week, because of the heat.
Residents in Oxford who usually have their bins emptied on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday have been advised to put them out the night before, or before 6am on the day.
Oxford City Council tweeted to spread the message, explaining: "Due to the extreme weather for the health and safety of the collection crews, bins will be collected earlier."

Residents should put their bins out from 7pm in the evening the day before the usual collection, or before 6am on the day.
Nigel Chapman, the council's cabinet member for safer communities and customer-focused services, said: "We’ve made the decision to start earlier for the welfare of our collection teams.
"There’s a lot of heavy lifting and miles of walking in a collection shift, so we want to avoid the hottest part of the day to stop them overheating, which is a real health risk.
"Residents are asked to help the teams by making sure their bins are out in time for a 6am start, but if they do miss the collection they can call or email the Oxford Direct Services team to be added to the next collection."
