A TAKEAWAY close to Oxford rail station has rebranded and created a new menu selling kebabs and fried chicken.
Got 2 Eat was launched from the site of the former Mick’s Cafe, which specialised in cooked breakfasts.
Got 2 Eat off Botley Road sold sandwiches and other snacks but now the premises has been renamed Station Grill, specialising in fried chicken, burgers and kebabs, and it is due to open on Friday.
The revamped diner could be in competition with the Botley Kebab van, which trades from the parking area close to the entrance of Station Grill.
Got 2 Eat boasted a five-star food hygiene rating on its front door.
Botley Kebab is popular with drinkers returning home after a night out.
In August health inspectors from Oxford City Council were left with ‘no choice’ but to award Botley Kebab one star, the second lowest rating possible - meaning ‘major improvement was necessary’ - after finding the takeaway had ignored advice about legally required checks.
