A TAXI company's office building is set to be demolished and replaced with new houses and a block of flats.
Pryors of Didcot won permission this week to knock down its headquarters at 3 Mereland Road off Broadway.
The offices, workshops and and one home in the building will be replaced with five two-bedroom houses and a block of four one-bedroom flats.
Read also: Latest hygiene results for OxfordshireSouth Oxfordshire District Council planning officers gave the scheme permission on Thursday, and said development must start within the next three years.
Didcot Town Council did not object but said that, in light of the 'climate emergency' declared by South Oxfordshire District Council, it encouraged the developers of the site to include electric car charging points and solar panels if possible.
