AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a man whose body was discovered in woodlands after being missing for nearly four weeks.
A brief hearing was held in Oxford Coroner's Court earlier to formally begin the investigation into the death of 37-year-old Adam Stanmore.
Mr Stanmore, who was unemployed and homeless at the time, first went missing on May 18, although his disappearance was not reported to police until May 22.
His body was found off Grenoble Road, Greater Leys, on June 13.
Assistant coroner Nicholas Graham said enquiries were in the early stages.
The probable cause of death was confirmed as 'hanging.'
The full inquest will be conducted on January 8.
