DIDCOT's Orchard Centre has finally welcomed its newest fast-food restaurant, as Burger King officially opened today.
Surrounded with branded balloons and cardboard crowns, the district manager, Kamran Khan, explained: "We are the only fast food [outlet] on the street. The closest Mc Donald’s is more than three miles away, KFC is also not present here.
"So I’m delighted we are the first to be here for our customers. There are many people here already, and the customer flow tells you everything in this business”.

Steve, who visited Burger King with his daughter Scarlett, said: “There is McDonald’s at Milton Road, but it’s a driving distance. We live locally, so it’s very convenient for us that they opened here”.
Hannah's father, Jamie, said: “We live nearby and there were no places you’d visit with a child. There were only expensive restaurants or places that don’t care for children. So it’s nice to have it here”.
