WORK to three South Oxfordshire leisure centres worth about £270,000 is likely to be approved by senior councillors next week.
The district council wants to carry out major work at Park Sports Centre in Wheatley, Thame Leisure Centre and Henley Leisure Centre over coming months.
The work at the Wheatley leisure centre, on the site of Wheatley Park School, would be to complete roofing works at the cost of £126,000.
That work would take about 14 weeks but services will still run at the centre.
The council said it has secured the 'best solution and the most economically advantageous tender' by choosing Fergal Consulting to complete the work.
At Thame Leisure Centre, dry side toilets next to its swimming pool are in a 'poor state', the council has admitted.
They would be replaced for about £54,000 if the district council's cabinet gives the work the final go-ahead on Thursday.
New toilets would 'improve overall customer experience' and bring them in line with other parts of the leisure centre.
The third project would prevent water from showers and toilets 'seeping' into Henley Leisure Centre's sports hall.
Work worth £100,000 would be done over the summer holidays to fix that, officers have said.
