OXFORD United will begin their 2019/20 Sky Bet League One campaign with an away match at Sunderland.
Karl Robinson's side will make the 520-mile round trip to the Stadium of Light on Saturday, August 3 after the EFL fixtures were announced this morning.
United will end their campaign at home to Bolton Wanderers, who were relegated from the Championship last season, on Sunday, May 3.
The U’s are also at the Kassam Stadium on Boxing Day, which falls on a Thursday, against Lincoln City – the first time they have hosted the Imps since April 2011.
Along with the visit to Sunderland on the opening day, United have been handed seven lengthy trips in their first eight away games.
The U’s face Blackpool (August 17), Fleetwood Town (September 7), Bolton (September 17), Lincoln (September 21), Accrington Stanley (October 5) and Rotherham United (October 19) in that run.

Another match to look out for is the U’s first visit to Ipswich Town - who were also relegated from the Championship - since 1999.
They travel to Portman Road on Saturday, February 22.
Robinson's side make the short journeys to Bristol Rovers (August 24), Portsmouth (November 2), Milton Keynes Dons (December 14) and Wycombe Wanderers (March 21) on Saturdays.
Dates to also look out for are the international breaks on September 7, October 12, November 16 and March 28.
If United have a minimum of three players called up to represent their countries, they can postpone their league games.
With Gavin Whyte, Mark Sykes and Shandon Baptiste recently selected for international action, this could impact fixtures against Fleetwood (away), Doncaster (home), Ipswich (home) and Portsmouth (home).
