THUNDERSTORMS and heavy rain are forecast to hit Oxford tonight.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning and updated its forecast for today and Wednesday.
First, there is an 80 per cent chance of heavy rain at 12pm today.
The worst of the weather is expected around 1am to 7am, with thunder and lightning possible and as much as 8mm of rain.
The worst of it will then be over, with lighter showers to follow throughout Wednesday from 10am to 1pm.

A Met Office spokesman said: "Rain and showers will develop overnight across much of the region today. The heaviest showers are likely in Dorset and Wiltshire, and here, thunder, hail and localised flooding are possible. Minimum temperature 12 °C."
The weather warning is in effect from 6pm today until 9pm on Wednesday.
The spokesman added: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds
"Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services
"Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
"There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost."
