YOUNG vandals hurled eggs at a house and left the resident 'frightened and distressed.'
Police said 'youths' egged someone's home in Carterton yesterday, and officers have pledged to track down those responsible, branding it a 'mindless' incident.
Reporting via Facebook, officers in West Oxfordshire said: "The resident was unacceptably frightened and distressed by this mindless act.
"We now have a good description of the offender, and will be visiting them in the near future."

They shared a photo of congealed egg yolk staining a door frame, with a mess of broken egg shells on the ground.
One person who condemned the vandals in the comments said: "l hope if they are positively ID'd they're made to do some graft on cleaning up and giving a huge apology."
On Sunday police said they had started a monitoring operation around Kilkenny Lane Country Park in Carterton, 'due to recent antisocial behaviour.'
A similar ASB problem was also identified earlier this month at Eynsham's Witney Road play area, with signs put up stating 'police operation in progress.'
