THE first ever Mini went back to where it all began as classic cars converged on the Cowley plant.
Workers were encouraged to bring in their own vehicles for the day on Friday as part of efforts to raise funds for this year's chosen charity, the Alzheimer’s Society.
The British Motor Museum leant the plant the first ever Mini for the day while the second oldest privately owned classic Mini was also in attendance.

Plant spokesman Steve Wrelton said “The day was a great success with some of the oldest Minis making a return to their spiritual home to raise some cash for our in-house charity."
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Mini.
