OXFORD MAGISTRATES’

ROGER JAMES CROOKS, 45, of Peat Moors, Oxford, admitted stealing electric toothbrushes to the value of £799.98 from Boots, Oxford, on May 9. He must pay compensation of £200.

BENJAMIN EVANS, 23, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing meat valued at £97.87 from Marks and Spencer, Bicester, on May 12. He was made subject to a community order to include drug rehabilitation requirement for nine months and rehabilitation activity requirement for 20 days. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £40.

STEVEN MATTHEW PUGH, 33, of Saxton Road, Abingdon, admitted fraud by paying for items under someone else's name at the Cosener's House Hotel in Abingdon between April 9 and 12 and at Abingdon Four Pillars Hotel between April 15 and 27. He also admitted possession of cannabis and breaching a previously imposed community order. He was made subject to a community order to include rehabilitation activity requirement for 20 days and unpaid work for 180 hours. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.

MARK JULIAN ANDREWS, 39, of Upper Fisher Row, Oxford, was convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare of £6.50 at Didcot Parkway on October 15. He was fined £440 and must pay compensation of £6.50 and a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £160.

ROBERT CRAIG BENNETT, 41, of Chailey Gardens, Blewbury, was convicted of travelling on a railway without having previously paid a fare of £11.30 at Didcot Parkway on January 15. He was fined £440 and must pay compensation of £11.30, a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £160.

RIKKI MARK BRACKETT, 38, of Nunnery Close, Blackbird Leys, was convicted of travelling on a railway without having previously paid a fare of £14.60 at Oxford on October 21. He was fined £440 and must pay compensation of £14.60, a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £160.

CHRISTOPHER BROWN, 27, of Old Parr Close, Banbury, was convicted of travelling on a railway without having previously paid a fare of £11.30 at Oxford on November 24. He was fined £440 and must pay compensation of £11.30, a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £160.

ELEANOR JANE DYE, 20, of Blackwater Way, Didcot, was convicted of travelling on a railway without having previously paid a fare of £6.50 at Oxford on September 17. She was fined £440 and must pay compensation of £6.50, a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £160.

LESTER GARDNER, 26, of Priory Road, Oxford, was convicted of travelling on a railway without having previously paid a fare of £6.80 at Oxford on January 14. He was fined £440 and must pay compensation of £6.80, a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £160.

CLAYTON GOLDSTONE, 20, of Bramble Bank, Witney, was convicted of travelling on a railway without having previously paid a fare of £11.30 at Oxford on November 15. He was fined £440 and must pay compensation of £11.30, a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £160.

JULIAN JOHANNES GUNNETT, 44, of Wilsdon Way, Kidlington, was convicted of travelling on a railway without having previously paid a fare of £14.60 at Oxford on November 24. He was fined £440 and must pay compensation of £14.60, a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £160.

LUKE HILSDON, 22, of Corunna Crescent, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent in Oxford on April 6 and obstructing an officer in the execution of their duty in Oxford on April 6. Fined £130, must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

MIRELA ILIE, 30, of Stanbridge Close, Banbury, admitted stealing £18 worth of items from Poundland in Banbury on May 1. Conditionally discharged for six months, must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £30.

STEVEN ANTHONY KENT, 22, of Ashdown Way, Grove, admitted knowingly assisting a child to run away from a responsible person in Chipping Norton on May 10. He thereby committed another offence while under a suspended sentence. Jailed for 21 weeks, a restraining order was put in place for him not to contact a woman until May 2021. Must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

JANET CAROL ANNE MILLIKIN, 62, of Ock Street, Abingdon, admitted obstructing the highway in Audlett Drive, Abingdon on April 19 and assaulting two police officers in Abingdon Police Station on April 20. A community order was made and he was placed under electronic curfew for five months. Must pay £100 compensation.

PAUL DAVID BRIAN RICKETTS, 36, of Wychwood Drive, Milton-under-Wychwood, admitted drink-driving in Welch Way, Witney, on May 1. Had 45mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. Fined £175, must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. Disqualified from driving for 14 months.

MUHAMED EL-DAWI, 26, of Botley Road, Oxford, admitted obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty in Queen Street, Oxford, on April 6. Conditionally discharged for 12 months, must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

JAMIE GARRY WOODLEY, 31, of Loder Road, Harwell, admitted stealing meat worth £62.15 from Asda, Didcot, on April 8 and stealing £100 worth of meat from Asda, Didcot, on April 4. Conditionally discharged for 12 months, must pay a victim surcharge of £20.

PAUL ANTHONY WRIGHT, 47, of Delapre Drive, Banbury, admitted assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty in Banbury on September 12. Must pay £150 compensation, £50 court costs.

DEAN SCOTT, 28, of Peat Moors, Headington, admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath in Abingdon Police Station on March 18. Fined £192, must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. 10 penalty points.

ANDREW HERBERT HURTAULT, 37, of Foxwell Drive, Oxford, admitted aggravated vehicle taking and causing it damage in Oxford between January 11 and 12, stealing alcohol worth £74 from Tesco in Oxford on November 22, driving without a licence in Oxford Road, Kidlington, between January 11 and 12, driving without insurance in Oxford Road, Kidlington, between January 11 and 12 and stealing alcohol worth £46 from Tesco in Oxford on January 12. Jailed for 12 weeks, must pay £870 compensation. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

AINSLEY HALL-RICKETS, 23, of Pytenry Close, Abingdon, was convicted of failing to hand over a ticket for inspection on the railway in Oxford on January 15. Fined £220, must pay £27.30 compensation and £160 court costs.
