A FIRE closed off a road in Blackbird Leys as flames ripped through a block of flats.
Video footage, sent in by nearby resident Vix Davies, has captured the dramatic moment flames took hold of the home, believed to be close to Pegasus Park.
Pegasus Road was closed throughout the afternoon between Cuddesdon Way and Knights Road.
Residents were reporting that the fire had been put out by 6pm, although fire engines remained on the scene.
The closure caused disruption to the roads and bus service providers in the city tweeted to warn customers of the delays.
