FOURTEEN country gardens near Wallingford are opening to the public on Sunday.
Three years since Brightwell-cum-Sotwell's stunning gardens last opened, the village is offering some new additions from 2 - 5pm.
A wide-ranging programme of activities will provide ‘something for everyone’ with family activities, a children's 'bird search', musical interludes, gardening demonstrations, talks and advice, including a 'gardeners' question time' on offer to visitors.
The local pre-school's garden allows children to do some planting, while various gardens will have refreshments, including tea, homemade cake and Pimms.
Money raised from the event will go towards new equipment for the recreation ground, to help turn it into a community hub.
A passport and map to visit all the open gardens (adults £5, children free, bird search £1) can be picked up at any of the participating gardens.
