Scales of Justice: Latest court results for Oxfordshire

KYLE FRANCIS, 26, of Swift Drive, Bodicote, was convicted of assaulting a woman at Banbury on October 18. He was made subject to a community order to include participation in the Building Better Relationships programme for 30 days and rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days and he must complete 150 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £200.

SOPHIE WILLIAMS, 37, of Falcon Close, Oxford, admitted stealing alcohol valued at £83 from Waitrose, Oxford, on July 30 and stealing meat valued at £35 from Co Op, Oxford, on October 18. She must pay compensation totalling £118 and court costs of £85.

LYDIA CHAPMAN, 25, of Cornish Road, Chipping Norton, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on April 19 at Carterton. Had 131mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. She was made subject to a community order to include rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days and unpaid work for 100 hours. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85 and she was disqualified from driving for 36 months.

LEWIS HOBSON, 26, of Park Avenue, Kidlington, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on April 20 at Oxpens Road, Oxford. Had 64mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £120 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for 17 months.

DAMIEN KEYTE, 33, of Poolside Close, Banbury, admitted driving above the legal alcohol limit on April 20 at Britannia Road, Banbury. Had 61mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £120 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 16 months.

SCOTT ALEXANDER, 34, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing two cases of beer worth £12 from McColls, Banbury, on February 17 as well as clothing worth £260 from JD Sports, Banbury on March 5 and two bottles of wine worth £10 from Tesco, Banbury, on March 11. A community order was made to include alcohol treatment requirement for nine months and rehabilitation activity requirement for 30 days. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85, court costs of £40.

ANDREW BURTON-PAGE, 45, of no fixed abode, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress as well as assaulting a police officer and possession of a quantity of cannabis on April 23 at Cornmarket Street, Oxford. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and must pay a fine of £200, a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £40.

LEWIS COX, 33, of Northampton Road, Weston on the Green, admitted driving above the legal limit for cannabis on January 3 at Middleton Stoney Road, Bicester. He was fined £266 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

GRAHAM CRUTCH, 29, of Longore, Stonesfield, admitted driving while disqualified, without third party insurance and over the legal alcohol limit on March 27 at Loughton Hill, Fawler. Had 111mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was jailed for 17 weeks and must pay a victim surcharge of £115. He was also disqualified from driving for five years.

KEVIN NANTON, 51, of Cowley Road, Oxford, admitted receiving stolen goods, namely a debit card, and possessing criminal property, namely £600 in cash, in Abingdon on March 15. Jailed for 23 weeks, must pay £300 compensation and a £115 victim surcharge.

MOHAMED SAIB, 38, of Parsons Place, Oxford, was convicted of assaulting a man by beating him in Oxford on August 27. Fined £180, must pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £300.

MATTHEW CUNDY, 57, of Wentworth Road, Thame, admitted drink driving in Wentworth Road, Thame, on March 1. Had 118mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcgs. A community order was made and he was placed under curfew from 9.30pm until 7am for three months with electronic monitoring. Must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £250. Disqualified from driving for 28 months.

PHILIP KNOWLES, 55, of Sherwood Avenue, Abingdon, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order by causing members of the public harassment, alarm and distress by shouting and swearing in a public place while under the influence of alcohol in The Orchard Centre, Didcot, on May 8. Must pay £75 compensation.

DARREN NEEDHAM, 38, of Sussex Drive, Banbury, admitted causing criminal damage to the window of a car belonging to a woman in Banbury on April 22. A community order was made and he must attend rehabilitation activity for 10 days. Must pay £85 compensation, an £85 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

HILLARY BENTLEY, 57, of Dora Carr Close, Oxford, was convicted of assaulting two women by beating them in Oxford on December 7. A community order was made and he must attend rehabilitation activity for 20 days, must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £100.

WILLIAM BECKETT, 20, of Nuthatch Way, Langford, admitted stealing household goods worth £479.05 from Sainsbury’s in Banbury on January 30. Fined £100, must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

CHRISTIAN NOBLE, 41, of Windmill Road, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Radcliffe Square, Oxford, on April 17. Fined £100, must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

LUKE O’SHEA, 29, of Sherwood Avenue, Abingdon, admitted causing criminal damage to a patio glass door in Abingdon on April 13, assaulting a woman by beating her in Abingdon on April 13, assaulting a man by beating him in Abingdon on April 13, failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable in Abingdon on April 13 and driving without due care and attention in Abingdon on April 13. Sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months. A restraining order was put in place for him not to contact a woman or man for five years, must pay £450 compensation, a £115 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Five penalty points.

KEN HERRING, 74, admitted driving without due care and attention in Headley Way, Headington, on November 10. Fined £265, must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. Three penalty points.

NICHOLAS THOMAS, 48, of William Street, Oxford, admitted speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone in Marston Road, Oxford, on August 13. Fined £415, must pay a victim surcharge of £41 and court costs of £85. Disqualified from driving for seven days.
