A SCHOOL has raised more than £3,100 to fund a mural celebrating its diversity.
Cheney School in Headington
launched the JustGiving appeal at the start of May, aiming to raise £5,000 for the art installation on its assembly hall wall.
Year 11 students came up with the idea after
racist graffiti was sprayed on the same wall in March, saying they wanted to paint something in its place.
A letter penned by the pupils said they felt they would otherwise be 'tainted by the memory of those symbols of hate.'
