THE M40 has reopened after an overturned caravan that closed the motorway between junctions nine and 10 was cleared.
Highways England confirmed the northbound carriageway reopened between Bicester and Ardley at about 12.30pm, after the vehicle was 'righted onto its wheels and recovered'.

But 'severe congestion' remained in the area until we’ll into the afternoon, with traffic on the A34 queuing back to the Botley interchange.
Drivers on the M40 heading northbound experiences delays, while the incident also affected traffic on the southbound carriageway.

Footage of the scene shows the caravan on its side shortly after the northbound sliproad at junction nine, heading towards Banbury.
The video shows traffic being held behind the incident, with police on the scene and three people stood next to the vehicle.

A witness said they did not think anyone was injured, with South Central Ambulance Service confirming they were not called to the incident.
Thames Valley Police have also been contacted for comment.
Stagecoach has tweeted that its S5 service from Oxford to Bicester is 'heavily delayed' because of traffic as a result of the incident.
A shuttle bus service was run in its place.

A diversion was in place while the road was cleared, with motorists told to exit the M40 at junction nine and reach junction 10 via Weston on the Green and Ardley.

The incident comes less than 24 hours after two lorries and a van were involved in a crash on the A34 near Kidlington.
