A CITY councillor has been announced as the new chief executive of a mental health charity.
Tom Hayes, who is the council's cabinet member for Safer, Greener, Environment, will take on the role at Elmore Community Services in early July.
Mr Hayes will replace Tamsin Jewell in his new job.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Elmore as its next chief executive.
"Elmore has the strongest local and national reputation for delivering innovative services and pioneering research. I’m excited to be working with our frontline staff to support our service users to tackle their problems and feel part of their communities."
