POLICE had to use a Taser while arresting a man after reports of a fight involving a knife at a quiet residential street.
Thames Valley Police said that the incident took place at Acacia Avenue, Greater Leys, at about 3.35pm yesterday.
They were responding to reports that had been made of an 'altercation' taking place between an unidentified man and woman.

Force spokesperson Louisa Maher said that a Taser had to be used as the incident unfolded.
She said: "No-one was injured during the verbal altercation and an attempt made by a man to gain access to a property was unsuccessful.
"It was reported that he had a knife.

"He left the scene of the altercation and headed towards Plover Drive.
"A Taser was deployed and the man was safely detained."

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses to come forward and confirmed that a man, a 37-year old from Oxford, has been arrested in connection.
The unnamed male - who remained in police custody at the weekend - was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Police said in a statement: "If anyone witnessed this incident or has information or footage which could help the investigation, we would ask that you contact police and share this with us."
