A 16-year-old girl was knocked unconscious after being punched twice in the face by a man in Oxford city centre.
Police have launched an appeal following the attack, which took place at around 5.30pm on Sunday in New Inn Hall Street.
The force said the teenager was involved in 'an altercation' with the man during which she was hit twice.

She was treated for a deep cut to her face and a temporary loss of consciousness at the John Radcliffe Hospital and has since been discharged.
The man is described as white, in his fifties, with dark brown hair which was longer on the top and short on the sides and of large build.
He was wearing a maroon polo shirt and a light coloured jacket.

Investigating officer, PC Rachel Parrott, based at Oxford police station said: “I am appealing for anyone who has any information about this incident to contact police as soon as possible.
“If you have any details which could assist the investigation please call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 43190141532 or report online.
“Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
