A 300-year-old oak tree could be saved from being cut down after hundreds of nature lovers called for it to be preserved.
More than 1,100 people signed a petition to save the tree, on Madley Park, Witney, after plans emerged that it could be removed as it was damaging an adjacent property.
The petition was formally presented to West Oxfordshire District Council at a meeting last month.
