THE A420 was closed for most of the night so that fire fighters could hose down a car workshop 'in the middle of nowhere'.
The road was shut by police, between the Great Coxwell turnoff at Farningdon and Watchfield roundabout, so that fire crews could use the lanes to shuttle water down to the 'remote site'.
The fire
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at just after 3am to reports of an industrial building near Great Coxwell (near Faringdon) engulfed in flames.

Six fire engines rushed to the scene along with two water carriers coming from stations in Oxfordshire and Whiltshire.
When the fire was at its worst, 35 fire fighters were tackling the blaze.

They were faced with other dangers like compressed gas cylinders, which explode in high heat, and live electricity supplies.
The teams had to use three hose lines which where shuttled along down the A420.
Firefighters will be at the site for most of the day, making sure the fire is completely out.
Investigators are already at the building trying to detemine the cause of the fire.
Station manager Lee Swain from Abingdon said: "Thankfully nobody was hurt in this fire, we're thankful to the police and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service for thie support at this incident."
