A POLICE officer in Bicester has been threatened with a glass bottle when attempting to carry out their duty.
Thames Valley Police neighbourhood team in Bicester tweeted about the 'attack' which happened overnight.
The tweet said: "It will never be acceptable to assault emergency service workers."
It also said the officer was 'attacked' with the bottle but has since been deleted.
Thames Valley Police confirmed they were called to a domestic-related incident in the Highfield area of the town, and upon arrival a woman threatened officers with a bottle.
A 56-year-old woman, from Bicester, has since been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating of an emergency worker. She remains in police custody.
The force also confirmed none of its officer were injured.
