THERE are fears travellers who had vowed to stay 'for as long as possible' in Didcot have moved on to a field beside Harwell Science and Inovation Campus.
A resident on nearby Baths Road, in Chilton, said she saw around 10 caravans and tree surgery trucks driving past her house just after 6pm last night.

The 24-year-old, said: "I was putting my children to bed when I saw the caravans and trucks going along a road that leads to a field by the Diamond Light Source."
A Thames Valley Police spokesman has now confirmed it is 'aware of an unauthorised encampment' on land near Severn Road, Didcot.
He added: "No arrests have been made and code of conduct leaflets have been distributed."
Angus Horner, partner and director at Harwell Campus said: "We are aware of the unauthorised encampment on Harwell Campus and have taken action to deal with the situation.
"We have liaised with neighbouring landowners, Chilton residents and the police overnight on Friday, and throughout Saturday.”
It is still unknown whether the group is the same one as travellers who have been occupying a new housing estate in Didcot at Great Western Park since earlier this week.
Householders described naked children running alongside a busy road and small dogs being left 'out of control' since the group of around 20 caravans arrived.
It is not the first time travellers have targeted fields near the science centre.
Just over a year ago scores of caravans set up an illegal encampment on a playing field outside Harwell Science and Innovation Campus off Fermi Avenue.
The Baths Road resident said she believed since measures had been taken to block access to that land travellers were doing the 'next best thing' and going around the back to another field.
