POLICE have warned drivers to better protect their cars after seven vehicles were broken into in one day.

The force said they were broken into across Oxfordshire on April 16, with tools stolen.
It warned motorists to secure number plates and alloy wheels, clear out cars, and park in well-lit areas.

It follows a separate warning from police earlier this month after five sheds in one street were broken into overnight.
