A CAR wash could be set up behind the stalls at the Kassam Stadium.

If the plans to switch the use from a car park to a hand-wash are given the go-ahead by Oxford City Council, then JJ's Car Wash will be open seven days a week.

Last year, plans for another car wash at the Grenoble Road stadium were refused on the ground that there were no measures in place to deal with ground water.

But car wash bosses explained that the proposed plot, just behind Gate 9 (which is used for overflow car parking spaces), has a foul drain that they will use.

The only revamp to the area they will make is signs with prices on pinned to the walls.
