In a Facebook post, firefighters said a crew from Eynsham Fire Station was sent to deal with the blaze.
The post added: "The fire was discovered after the loss of power steering and a smell of burning rubber.
"The driver managed to park up and get out before the vehicle burst into flames.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used both high pressure hose reels from the fire appliance to extinguish the blaze."

The fire service confirmed that the blaze was damage-only and that it was 'fortunate' no-one was injured.
Firefighters did not state what make or model the car was but two people who commented on the post identified it as an Audi Q7.
One woman added: "Saw this on the recovery vehicle this morning, how scary!"
According to the Government's online vehicle check tool, in 2015 there was a safety recall affecting 1,037 Audi Q7 vehicles made in 2011 and 2012, due to concerns that fuel could leak from the 'injector rails.'
The fire service did not say what had caused the flames this morning.
