Nature lovers have one last chance today (Friday) to try to save a 300-year-old tree.
The tree on Witney's Madley Park estate could be removed by West Oxfordshire District Council as it is causing damage to an adjacent property.
An online petition calling for the council to preserve the tree was signed by hundreds of people within days of being created.

Residents say the tree could house up to 350 species of wildlife and is 'an asset' to the local environment.
The petition needs 750 signatures and the deadline to sign is today.
As of last night it had 662 names.
