AHEAD of a weekend of big events on the Thames volunteers in Abingdon will be clearing up the river and its banks tomorrow.
After meeting at Abingdon Lock at 10am they will follow the waterway along Abbey Meadow towards Nags Head Island and beyond until 1pm. All equipment will be provided.

The event has been organised by AbiBinit! along with Abingdon Cuts Plastic and the Kingfisher Canoe Club.
The Spring Head rowing competition and 1940s Thames at War event both take place on the river on Sunday.
