A DRIVER had to be cut free from their car after it crashed with a van on the A34.
Firefighters removed the roof of the car to rescue the driver when it happened close to the Milton Interchange yesterday.
The crash involved a 'light goods van' and a Vauxhall Vectra in which the driver was trapped.
Pictuires show the wreckage of the Vauxhall completely blocking both lanes of the northbound dual carriageway whilst emergency services are on scene.
Paramedics passing the scene stopped and were joined by firefighter crews from Didcot and Abingdon.
The occupants of the light goods vehicle were treated at the scene, the driver of the Vauxhall was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service watch manager Jon Walker, from Didcot Fire Station, said: "This provides a reminder to all drivers that you need to remain vigilant whilst driving and always maintain a safe distance between your vehicle and the one in front."
