The six plans submitted to Oxford City Council this week include several developments in Headington, and the plans to bulldoze a bungalow and revamp the rubble into a row of terrace houses.
To find the plans in full visit Oxford City Council's planning portal online.
Here's the roundup:
The plot where a row of terrace houses could be
- A bungalow and garage could be knocked down to make way for a row of four terrace houses in Headington.
If Oxford City Council approves the plans, then the bungalow and the garage which were first put up in the 1960s, will be knocked to the ground, and the rubble will be transformed into three-bed homes.
In the plans, developers explained how the row of four will be built in an area where 30 per cent to 100 per cent of homes, should be all three-bedroom homes – under the guidance of the council.

Oxford Spires Academy, at the bottom of Glanville Road
• A family home which currently sits in ‘disrepair’ with ‘urgent need of modernising’ could be revamped into a house share for local professionals.
The house on Glanville Road in Oxford just in front of Oxford Spires Academy could be changed into a six-bed home, but the developer made it clear that once it’s complete it will not be advertised for students, but more ‘like doctors and nurses.’
They added: “At present, the property is falling into disrepair and is in urgent need of modernising.”
Explaining that if plans are given the go-ahead, they will switch up some of the space that’s used for living and dining into bedrooms adding an en-suite in each room and turning the under-stairs cupboard into a shared toilet.

Headington Roundabout. Pic from Google Maps
• A garage which is just next to the Headington roundabout could be bulldozed to build a two-bed home.
As it is the garage has a big brick wall round the outside but if the plans are given the thumbs up then the site on London Road will be knocked down and replaced with a family home.
As a result, there will be one less car parking pace.
