SNOW has been forecast for Oxford on Wednesday and Thursday.
But the prediction is only being made by some forecasters.
With the city currently bathed in glorious spring sunshine, some may question whether the forecast, which differs from that of the Met Office, might be an April Fools' prank.
But both Apple's weather app and Google's online weather service suggest the white stuff could return in mid week.
However, in its outlook for Wednesday for Friday in the south east, the Met Office write: "Generally unsettled with spells of rain, interspersed by bright or sunny interludes but showers at times. Rather cold throughout, with a chance of frost on most nights."
It does not mention snow.

One Twitter user, Lee Bellion, reacted with disbelief at the forecast.
