A MAN who admitted carrying a hand scythe through a shopping centre has been placed under curfew.
Jimmy James Down, of Woodhill Lane Caravan Park, was found with the blade in Templars Square, Cowley on February 16.

The 31-year-old was given a two month suspended prison sentence.
He has also been placed under curfew for eight weeks with electronic monitoring.
He must be at home each night between 8pm and 6am.
Down admitted one count of possessing a blade in a public place at Oxford Magistrates Court on February 16.
The hand scythe has since been destroyed.
