Westgate hasn't been open for two years yet but it has already experienced some challenges.

Its most recent one being the departure of chip shop Salt n Sauce from its foodhall, Social.

Managers have spoken out about Social's unsuccess, saying that there is a lack of footfall.

Can you remember other times when the shopping centre hasn't quite gone to plan?

Looking back, here are four occasions where Westgate got it a little wrong...

  1. The construction of the centre caused traffic chaos
  2. There were complaints from Oxford's cyclists that there wasn't enough bike parking
  3. Part of its roof started leaking after heavy rainfall
  4. Its been described as a 'hideous, airless, car-dependent monstrosity', known to some people as the 'Death Star'

Do you think Westgate has lived up to its expectations?
