THE second phase of a new £8.3m leisure centre in Carterton is underway.
Most of the flooring and the building's frame are now in place, with drainage set to be installed shortly.
Developers at Buckingham Group Contracting are confident work will finish in November, with the centre featuring new changing rooms, a four court badminton sports hall and an indoor trampoline park.
The centre will also benefit from a new café, an upgraded gym, new fitness and spinning studios and a crèche. The car park will also be extended.

The project is part of a 10-year, £10.3m, investment programme secured by the council last year with GLL Better, its leisure services contractor.
Carterton Leisure Centre manager Alex James said: “It will be a fantastic new venue for Carterton and the local communities.
“There will be facilities for young families as well as adults giving access to a range of activities for people to get involved with. I am really excited about it.”
Project manager Jonathan King of contractors Buckingham Group Contracting said: “We are working very well with the management team and there are no problems.
"The programme is running to plan and we expect to be finished by November.”
