THE University of Oxford has asked for the green-light from Oxford City Council to keep a temporary building indefinitely.
Plans for the Roosevelt Drive block were first given the go-ahead back in 2013, before they were renewed for a further three years.
The idea was to house the staff at other buildings whilst there was building work.
The plans expire in November and the team behind the application have asked to keep the site for longer so they can house staff from the Centre of Tropical Research – a department they say has out grown its building in the last 10 years.
