FIRSTLY, we should probably apologise for getting the Chesney Hawkes classic ‘The One and Only’ stuck in Camera Club members’ heads this week.

Take satisfaction in knowing we too have been suffering from the earworm.

Using the song title as our theme has proved fruitful, however, with a plethora of interesting and creative interpretations.

Oxford Mail:

Everything from unique locations and structures to unusual wildlife and even a literal number one have featured the wide range of submissions.

Some of our favourites included several spectacular snaps of animals in action.

See last week's entries for our repetition theme

A kestrel soaring above Asthall Leigh in West Oxfordshire by Kevin James Bywater particularly stood out.

One amber eye of the majestic bird is caught looking straight at the camera, each feather captured in perfect detail.

Ian Jones' 'one and only' successful image of his dog Hector catching a tennis ball was another great example.

Oxford Mail:

As was Charlotte Hickman's snap of a deer caught mid-leap in a field.

We also loved a pair of snaps of Oxfordshire icons - one historical and the other a more modern addition.

Glen Harfield shared an image of the Headington Shark bursting out of the top of its Oxford home, while Corrina Turner captured a Winston Churchill bust.

We also enjoyed Graham Cherry's perfectly-timed image of the world's largest aircraft, the Antonov An-225.

It isn’t often Camera Club members are the subject of a submission but we could not resist also including an image by Anthony Morris of the one and only Bryan Robertson at Farmoor Reservoir during a meet up.

Oxford Mail:

The photographer, who has been behind many of the group's get togethers, also features in our favourites for his moon entry.

Next week’s theme is ‘Why I Love Oxfordshire’ in honour of the Oxford Mail teaming up with Experience Oxfordshire for a competition to find the best views in the county.

Entries can be submitted via Instagram until March 28 but keep sharing in the Facebook group as well for the chance to be in next Friday's spread.

Join our Camera Club – which now has more than 1,000 members – by visiting facebook.com and searching for Oxford Mail Camera Club.

This week’s winner will be revealed in tomorrow’s paper.

Happy snapping!
