OXFORD University will have to overcome a Cambridge crew including two-time Olympic champion James Cracknell in next month’s Boat Race.
The line-ups were announced in London yesterday, with the Dark Blues 1.3kg heavier than their rivals for the showdown on the River Thames on Sunday, April 7.
Oxford, who trail the overall head-to-head 83-80, will be hoping to avenge last year’s defeat, which ended a run of four wins in five years.
They name two returning Blues with Benedict Aldous in the four seat and Felix Drinkall at six.
Oxford’s ladies will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat.
They weighed in 9.5kg lighter than their Cambridge counterparts, naming two returning Blues in Renee Koolschijn and Beth Bridgman.
